👉The British Columbia government has added 20 more cities and towns to its list of priority communities for housing targets over the next five years. The expansion includes high-growth, high-need regions like Metro Vancouver and southern Vancouver Island. Housing Minister Ravi Kahlon aims to complement existing efforts by these cities while implementing recent provincial legislative changes to boost home construction. Last year, the province designated 10 priority cities, calling for 60,000 new units by 2027. The government plans to set out specific targets for housing growth in these new communities by summer.✅ .
