👉Today, the federal government of Canada is conducting a test to evaluate its capacity to issue emergency alerts. Canadians in most provinces and territories will receive a test alert on their cellphones, TV, and radio. Ontario is the only exception, where the test will occur on May 15. While provincial and territorial emergency management organizations regularly test the system, this is the first federal test of its kind. Tests will be conducted in eight provinces and territories by the federal government and in four others by provincial and territorial authorities.
