๐Environment Canada reports that the tornado striking west of Montreal reached wind speeds of 155 km/h. Its path spanned 14 km from Trรจs-Saint-Rรฉdempteur to Pointe-Fortune. Classified as an EF-1 tornado by the Northern Tornadoes Project, it caused destruction in communities 60 km from Montreal, damaging homes, vehicles, and farm buildings around 5:30 p.m. Monday. Trรจs-Saint-Rรฉdempteur Mayor Julie Lemieux noted extensive tree damage and structural harm in her community and nearby Rigaud.
