👉Ontario Premier Doug Ford's unexpected directive to the LCBO to reinstate paper bags left the liquor agency's senior executives scrambling for a new supply. The order, sent via email to CEO George Soleas on a Sunday night in April, came seven months after the LCBO had discontinued paper bags at its 660 stores. Soleas, surprised by the directive, immediately informed his senior management team and communicated his astonishment to the province's deputy finance minister and the LCBO board.
