đŸ‘‰Hassan Al Kontar may be rejoicing by himself in his hotel room in Princeton, British Columbia, but he believes he has the backing of the whole nation. Social seclusion is nothing new to Al Kontar. He was a Syrian refugee who gained international attention in 2018 when he spent over seven months stuck in Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur International Airport. He slept wherever he could while at the airport and ate whatever he could find. Before a sponsor from Whistler, British Columbia assisted him in obtaining refuge in Canada, he spent several weeks in prison in Malaysia. Al Kontar came to Canada in November 2018 and, after a protracted administrative process, was granted permanent status. He began working for the Canadian Red Cross.✅ . . #canadaPR #canadapermanentresident #refugee #PRforrefugee #syrianrefugee #canadiancitizenship #HassanAlKontar #mnm #malayalisnearmeapp #canadaupdate #canadanews
