IRCC Launches Open Work Permit Options for Select PNP Candidates

✅Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has introduced a temporary policy allowing certain Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates to apply for open work permits. Effective August 11, 2024, this policy is available to candidates with a valid or recently expired work permit, a job offer, and a support letter from their province confirming their placement in an Expression of Interest pool. The policy remains in effect until December 31, 2024, but may be revoked at any time. The goal is to help eligible newcomers secure work permits more easily while awaiting PNP decisions. .
