👉Nissan has announced a recall of over 809,000 small SUVs, including 96,000 units in Canada, due to a key malfunction that can lead to the ignition shutting off while the vehicle is in use. The recall affects Rogue SUVs from 2014 through 2020 and Rogue Sports (known as Qashqais in Canada) from 2017 through 2022. The issue is caused by jackknife folding keys that may not remain fully open. If the vehicle is operated with the key partially folded, it could cause the engine to turn off unintentionally upon contact with the fob. This could result in a loss of engine power and power brakes, as well as the possibility of the airbags failing to deploy in the event of an accident. No accidents or injuries related to this problem have been reported, according to Nissan.
