๐An Ontario woman, Denise Baillargeon of Etobicoke, was surprised to receive a MacBook Pro worth about $4,900 that she didn't order, though it had her address on the label. Soon after the delivery, her husband noticed a pending charge for it on their Costco account. An Uber driver later arrived, claiming a request to pick up the misdelivered package. Suspecting fraud, Baillargeon refused to hand it over. It seems thieves used the couple's credit card information to order the laptop, planning to retrieve it after delivery. The couple contacted Costco and the police, suspecting their home was being watched by the thieves. ๐๐จ๐ฆ @jom_mattam . . #OntarioNews #FraudAlert #MacBookScam #IdentityTheft #Costco #ConsumerProtection #Etobicoke #mnm #malayalisnearmeapp #canadaupdate #canadanews
