๐Since 2020, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has reported 205 lost firearms, including 120 handguns and seven fully automatic weapons like machine guns. This information, obtained through an access to information request, reveals nearly half of these losses occurred in 2021, with 99 firearms going missing that year alone. The breakdown includes 122 handguns, 55 shotguns, 23 rifles, three submachine guns, and two machine guns. Canadians are prohibited from owning or acquiring such weapons. So far in 2024, 11 RCMP firearms have gone missing, raising concerns about oversight and accountability within the police force. . #RCMP #FirearmLoss #PublicSafety #MachineGuns #CanadaLaw #PoliceAccountability #GunControl #mnm #malayalisnearmeapp #canadaupdate #canadanews
