👉Ontario will host a historic celebration on May 6, 2023, to mark the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The last coronation of a Canadian Head of State took place 70 years ago. The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Premier, Speaker, and Indigenous leaders will hold a flag raising ceremony, 21-gun salute, and drum circle to commemorate the occasion. The public is invited to attend, and the event will be livestreamed on the Government of Ontario YouTube Channel. After the ceremony, a free family event called 'Coronation Celebration: A Fun Royal Fair' will take place on the South Lawn of Queen's Park. It will feature carnival rides, live entertainment, and complimentary food and beverages from Ontario farmers and processors. Ten cultural attractions and 39 provincial parks will offer free admission for day use, extending the celebrations across the province.
