๐At least seven people are missing after a container ship collided with Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge, causing it to collapse into the Patapsco River, according to Baltimore City Fire Department Chief James Wallace. Two individuals have been rescued, one in serious condition. The ship, DALI, a Singaporean-flagged vessel, struck the bridge just before 1:30 a.m. Construction workers were on-site during the collapse. Multiple agencies, including the Coast Guard and FBI, are involved in the search. Maryland Gov. Wes Moore declared a state of emergency, with federal support offered by Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Danish Shipping company Maersk, chartering the vessel, confirmed no personnel were onboard. ๐๐จ๐ฆ @jom_mattam . . #BaltimoreBridgeCollapse #SearchAndRescue #StateOfEmergency #MaritimeIncident #EmergencyResponse #BridgeCollapse #BaltimoreHarbor #mnm #malayalisnearmeapp #canadaupdate #canadanews
