Alberta Halts Processing of Alberta Opportunity Stream Applications, Prepares New Stream for Tourism and Hospitality

✅The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has temporarily suspended processing for the Alberta Opportunity Stream from February 15 onwards. The pause aims to address the program's current inventory and prioritize immigration nominations for sectors like healthcare, technology, construction, agriculture, tourism, and hospitality. Applications submitted before February 15 will be assessed, with the province implementing measures to manage future volumes and maintain service standards. The Alberta Opportunity Stream targets full-time temporary foreign workers with valid Canadian work permits and job offers in the province, including eligible Post-Graduation Work Permit holders.
