This system allows ongoing submission of interests, with candidates selected based on rankings and Alberta's labor needs. Additionally, AAIP plans to introduce a new pathway for law enforcement professionals, requiring a job offer from a member of the Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police. Alberta saw a 16.3% increase in permanent residents in 2023, welcoming 57,585 individuals. The province also received 59,995 temporary foreign workers and issued 41,950 study permits. .
