BC Sets 30% Cap on International Student Enrollment at Public Institutions
โ British Columbia's Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills has introduced new guidelines to enhance the integrity of its international student program. Public Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) in the province will now limit international student enrollment to 30% of their total student body. This measure, part of the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) code, aims to improve standards and protections. The 30% cap does not affect private DLIs. The Ministry will collaborate with institutions to adjust recruitment strategies and manage financial impacts. In 2024, BC will distribute 83,000 Provincial Attestation Letters (PALs) to support international student admissions. .
