BCBT criticized the reliance on temporary foreign workers (TFWs), who make up 4.7% of BC's construction workforce, compared to the national average of 2.1%. The union claims this practice undermines wages and employment rights. BC requires 52,600 more construction workers by 2032, with 30% expected to come through immigration.
