New Fast-Track Review for Rejected Canadian Study Permits Launches October 1
โ Starting October 1, Canada is launching a pilot project to speed up judicial reviews for rejected study permits. The program aims to shorten the process from 14-18 months to under five months. Eligible students with formal rejection letters can apply online if both they and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) agree on the case facts. The pilot will not allow new evidence and is for straightforward cases only. Applicants have 15 days (within Canada) or 60 days (outside Canada) to apply. The initiative addresses a surge in judicial review requests, providing faster resolutions for international students. .
