Ontario Universities Advocate for One-Third of International Student Allocations Amid Study Permit Cap

✅Ontario's Council of Ontario Universities (COU) aims for 35% of the 235,000 international student study permit applications allocated to the province, following Immigration Minister Marc Miller's cap on permits. COU seeks around 82,250 permits for undergraduates in Ontario's 23 publicly-funded universities, distributed based on each university's student enrolment share. This initiative aims to bring in 28,000 international students, maintaining the international undergraduate enrollment at about 20% of all students.
