On August 23, 210 candidates were invited to apply for the provincial nomination in British Columbia. British Columbia hosts weekly nominations. 205 invites were issued to candidates for tech occupations in this general draw. In addition, invitations were sent to entry-level and semi-skilled applicants from the categories of skilled workers and overseas graduates. Entry and semi-skilled candidates needed 75 out of a possible 106 points from the SIRS, while skilled workers with express entry needed 106. Similar to the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), SIRS only applies to the PNP of British Columbia. The following occupations were also the subject of invitation rounds from the province. Those that have at least a 60-point score as a healthcare aide 5 healthcare professionals scored at least 60 points, as did early childhood educators and their aides.
