The INSPIRE project, focused on enhancing Canada's pandemic response, will investigate ways to improve biomanufacturing, health sector supply chains, and cross-border trade. Lead researcher Mike McKay emphasizes the need to strengthen the private sector's ability to meet health sector demands during pandemics. Funded through the Canada Biomedical Research Fund and the Biosciences Research Infrastructure Fund, the project will also assess Windsor-Essex's vulnerability to biothreats.
