👉A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 struck off the west coast of Canada near Vancouver on Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and was felt in Vancouver and surrounding areas. There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties, and no tsunami warning has been issued. The earthquake comes amid heightened seismic activity in the Pacific Rim, known as the "Ring of Fire," where several tectonic plates meet and cause frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.✅ . . #earthquake #Vancouver #Canada #PacificRim #RingofFire #naturaldisaster #seismicactivity #USGS #mnm #malayalisnearmeapp #canadaupdate #canadanews

👉A 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit the Kitimat region in British Columbia, Canada, on Sunday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The quake’s epicentre was located 10 km below the Pacific Ocean seabed, off the coast of Port McNeill. A second quake, measuring 4.5, followed about an hour later. Despite the intensity, the US National Tsunami Centre reported no tsunami threat. The first tremor occurred at 3:20 p.m. local time. Authorities are monitoring the situation, though no significant damage or injuries have been reported so far.✅ . 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞, 𝐎𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨'𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭. 👉 Three minor earthquakes rattled the British Columbia coast near Port Hardy, with none of them being felt by residents. Earthquakes Canada reported a 4.0 magnitude quake at 8:20 a.m. PT, preceded by a 5.5 magnitude quake at 4:28 a.m. and another 4.2 magnitude quake about an hour and a half earlier in the same vicinity. The epicentre of the third quake was located 185 kilometres west of Port Hardy, north of Vancouver Island. The agency is closely monitoring a series of earthquakes offshore from northern Vancouver Island. Thankfully, there have been no reports of damage, and no tsunami warning has been issued. Seismic activity in this area is relatively common due to the convergence of three tectonic plates at the Queen Charlotte Triple Junction, resulting in periodic seismic events. While the area is seismically active, it remains challenging to predict when the next earthquake will occur.✅ . . #BCEarthquakes #PortHardyQuakes #SeismicActivity #EarthquakeAlert #TectonicPlates #QueenCharlotteTripleJunction #SafetyFirstBC #mnm #malayalisnearmeapp #canadaupdate #canadanews
