Canada to Increase Direct Flights from India as Travel Demand Rises
β Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has reached an agreement with India to increase direct flights between the two countries. The agreement aims to meet the growing demand for travel between Canada and India. In November 2022, both countries signed an open skies agreement, allowing unlimited flights between them. Currently, Air India operates 10 flights from Delhi to Toronto and 7 flights per week to Vancouver. Trudeau also announced plans to add flights to Amritsar. The move comes as Canada anticipates a surge in visitors for Sikh Heritage Month, with Trudeau stating that Canada is the first country to officially recognize the event.
