Canada Sees Job Growth in April, Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, and New Brunswick Lead the Way

✅In April, Canada experienced a surge in job growth, particularly in Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, and New Brunswick, which collectively added 74,800 new jobs. The increase was largely driven by employment gains among core-aged men and women, as well as male youth. Despite this growth, employment among women aged 55 and older decreased. However, the overall employment rate remained steady at 61.4%. Although employment rose in professional, scientific, and technical services, accommodation and food services, and healthcare and social assistance, unemployment rates among visible minorities increased over the past year.
