👉An out-of-control wildfire is raging near Fort McMurray, Alberta, burning 28 kilometers southwest of the city. As of Friday 9 a.m., the fire covers 25 hectares. The Fort McMurray Forest Area faces "extreme" wildfire danger, according to the Alberta Wildfire website. Lack of rain led to a fire ban in the Grande Prairie Forest Area. Alberta Wildfire spokesperson Christie Tucker warned of dry, warm weather and increased danger due to winds. Among 41 active wildfires, only the one near Fort McMurray is out of control.✅ .
