๐York Regional Police (YRP) is preparing to launch "Operation Auto Guard 2.0," a multi-faceted initiative aimed at reducing auto thefts through community engagement and targeted enforcement. The program will be officially announced by YRP Chief Jim MacSween, Richmond Hill Mayor David West, and Ontarioโs Associate Minister of Auto Theft and Bail Reform, Graham McGregor. The first phase of Operation Auto Guard recovered 80 vehicles, valued at over $5 million, and resulted in 56 arrests. Since then, auto thefts have dropped by 30% in the area, and the new initiative hopes to build on that success. ๐๐จ๐ฆ @manojkaratha_realtor . . #AutoGuard #YRP #VehicleSafety #CrimePrevention #AutoTheft #CommunitySafety #LawEnforcement #mnm #malayalisnearmeapp #canadaupdate #canadanews
